Humanitarian Work
Ron currently works for the United States Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA). OFDA is responsible for managing the United States government's humanitarian responses to international disasters and its mission is to “Save Lives and Alleviate Human Suffering.”
Assignments have taken Ron to some of the most dangerous and impoverished areas of the world including Iraq (war), the Congo (civil war), Sudan (Darfur – genocide), Ethiopia (famine) and to Pakistan (earthquake), Lebanon (Israeli/Hezbollah conflict).
